Fostering Excellent Service and Risk Mitigation: BPS Riau Province’s Concrete Steps Toward WBBM Status

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Riau Province successfully held a hybrid webinar today, September 30, 2026, to commemorate National Statistics Day (HSN). Centered on the theme "Turning Challenges into Opportunities: Strengthening Excellent Service and Risk Management Toward WBBM," the event focused on delivering tangible, transformative impacts—specifically, raising service quality standards for the public and bolstering the agency's risk management and mitigation capabilities.

In his opening remarks, the Head of BPS Riau Province, Dr. Asep Riyadi, S.Si., M.M., emphasized the importance of balancing performance optimization between delivering satisfying public services and maintaining robust risk management systems. These concepts were further explored through presentations on excellent service by Hiyal Faizah and risk management strategies by Ria Nurfitriani—both from the BRI Regional Office in Pekanbaru—with the session moderated by Etania Ranu Andhika.

Through this enthusiastically attended event, BPS Riau Province is optimistic about achieving long-term impacts, particularly in enhancing staff competence. The synergy of the material presented is expected to elevate the quality of public services—making them increasingly professional, responsive, and trustworthy—thereby accelerating the agency's path to achieving the "Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area" (WBBM) designation.
