Open Dialogue Between BPS Riau and GPMRH: A Commitment to Transparency and Oversight of Welfare Data

Demonstrating its commitment to accountability and transparency, Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Riau Province openly welcomed a delegation from the Rokan Hulu Youth and Student Movement (GPMRH)—part of the Student Movement for Monitoring State Apparatus—to the Sungkai Room. The students were warmly received as strategic partners in safeguarding the quality of development data.

Conducted in an interactive discussion format, the meeting provided an opportunity for the BPS Riau Social Statistics Team to attentively listen to the aspirations and concerns voiced by the student representatives. BPS Riau appreciates the active role played by the youth in monitoring the implementation of the Single Socio-Economic Data (DTSEN) system. To ensure full transparency, the BPS Riau Social Statistics Team provided a detailed and comprehensive explanation of the DTSEN mechanisms and methodology.

This open dialogue aims to foster strong synergy between BPS and the student community, working together to ensure data validity and thereby realize social assistance programs that effectively reach the communities in need.
