BPS Riau Province has once again released its latest strategic indicators as of October 1, 2026!

In September 2026, Riau Province recorded a monthly inflation rate (m-to-m) of 0.64%, while the annual inflation rate (y-on-y) remained stable at 3.89%. Encouraging news also emerged from the agricultural sector, where Riau’s Farmers' Terms of Trade (NTP) rose by 1.39% to reach 197.35—the second-highest figure on Sumatra Island. This increase reflects improving welfare and purchasing power for farmers in Riau.

Meanwhile, regarding performance in August 2026, Riau’s foreign trade demonstrated continued resilience, with total exports reaching US$ 2.22 billion and contributing to an accumulated surplus of US$ 12.37 billion. In the tourism sector, the number of foreign tourist visits surged by 10.51% (y-on-y), driving the star-rated hotel room occupancy rate to 49.99%.
