Abstract

In February 2025, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Riau Province was 0.02 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.42. The highest inflation occurred in Tembilahan at 1.46 percent with a CPI of 105.52 and the lowest occurred in Kampar Regency with deflation of 1.09 percent with a CPI of 107.38.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in nine expenditure group indices, namely: personal care and other services group by 9.45 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 3.38 percent; education group by 1.67 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.56 percent; transportation group by 1.45 percent; health group by 1.25 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.63 percent; and household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.04 percent. On the other hand, the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group experienced deflation of 13.00 percent, the clothing and footwear group by 0.82 percent and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.01 percent.
Month to month (m-to-m) in February, Riau Province experienced deflation of 0.50 percent. and year to date (y-to-d) Riau Province experienced deflation of 0.52 percent.
